225+ Chemicals You Put in Your Body Daily in Beauty Products

I did a little research study to see how many chemicals we put in our bodies daily, without even thinking about it. Most people say they don’t use many products, yet, they are sick. I just wanted to analyze the topic with evidence. I don’t have anything against any of these companies, as a matter of fact, some of the pictures are from products we had at home (yikes!). I included actual pictures taken by myself (except for one that a friend sent me). Since the print is so small, the pictures are big so you can read the ingredients

The results

If you’re a typical person, you wake up, take a shower (shampoo,  conditioner, soap/body wash, shaving cream), brush your teeth (toothpaste, mouthwash), use deodorant, moisture you body and face (lotion and cream), apply some kind of perfume or after shave (or both). Also, once a week paint you nails (nail polish) and paint your hair every 2 months (hair dye). You are putting into your body way too many chemicals.

You use at least 225 chemicals daily. This number would go up if you wash your hands or brush your teeth more than once a day (which you should be doing anyway). In addition, I’m not even considering makeup or acne treatments. I’m just sticking to the basics, and the total is still horrifying. You should also keep in mind that the bad chemicals repeat more than once. 

What’s next?

If  you still think “Oh, but I will die someday anyway” or “But it’s just a little”, think again. That “little bit” multiplied by 7 is not a little bit anymore. These chemicals add up and usually make you sick for a while before your last breath. I’m not asking you to live in a cave and be filthy, I just want you to consider how many of these products are not a necessity. Furthermore, you need to find healthier substitutes to what you already use. 

My insight

Don’t freak out! We will be fine! 

This research study made me realize how you can eat organic, sleep well, drink water, eat turmeric and chia seeds, meditate, use essential oils, etc; but if you don’t stop the chemicals coming to you, the change will not be real, it will be momentary.

If you were face to face with a lion or a tiger, or if you were in the middle of an earthquake or a tornado, you would try your best to protect your life and your loved ones’ lives. You would go screaming telling people to not go in that direction because there’s a tiger. This is exactly what I’m trying to do here. I really want to make a change!
